I set up Fieldhouse Studio in 2025 after graduating with a diploma in Garden Design from KLC School of Design (where I even managed to win an award!) – a total change from my previous life in the corporate world. While those years were regularly fast-paced and high-pressure, they often felt impersonal and I wanted something different: the chance to work closely with clients to create places of beauty, meaning, and permanence.
For me, gardens are all about connection: between people and with the natural world. I love the colour, sound and restorative properties of being in nature and look to bring these elements into my designs. In today’s increasingly fast-paced and fragile world, gardens play an ever-more important role and I find the people that work to create, protect and tend our green spaces to be among the most inspirational I have ever come across. I regularly work with, and learn from, others in the industry to ensure that I can bring the very best advice and skills to my clients.
My years in the business sector mean I can make sure projects are managed seamlessly and communicated effortlessly. My aim is for you to feel supported, inspired, and to fully enjoy the experience of seeing your garden come to life.
Fieldhouse Road is where I had my first garden: a slip of a space accessed via lethally steep stairs, frequented regularly by cats (and foxes) and complete with an old sink as a pond. I loved it.
